Perhaps not a world of difference, but...

AKA out of the mouth of children.  Last night, one of our best friends visited with his two adopted children, 9 and 7.  Not only did they bring the curtains for Maya's room that their mom made for us, but got some great advice from a nine-year-old on what adoption, bonding, and adjustment are like from the perspective of the adoptive child.  A little different point-of-view from a toddler, but it's likely to be more difficult to have such a cognizant conversation with a 2-year-old.

34 hours and counting until we're on the plane to Hong Kong.  Wait, gotta turn the clocks back at 2:00 am tomorrow...whew, 35 hours!
